Airport Tours

Airport Tours of Liverpool John Lennon Airport, bookable in advance, are regularly available and are undertaken on behalf of the Airport by FoLA (Friends of Liverpool Airport).

A choice of four tours are available:

A. Guided Landside Airport Tour:

This general tour consists of a presentation on the Past, Present and Future of Liverpool John Lennon Airport delivered in the Cavern Suite. A question and answer session usually follows before taking a leisurely tour of the landside facilities from Departures to Arrivals, returning to the Cavern Suite. Groups should allow 2 hours for this visit.

B. Extended Guided Landside and Airside Tour:

This tour incorporates an Airside visit whilst on the tour. Groups must not exceed 20 and we will require passport/driving licence details for all attendees in order to process Security passes. This tour can be adapted to suit the group visiting and will last about 2.5 hours. The content of the tour is as for Group D. Hi-viz vests will be supplied for this Airside visit.

C. Primary School Groups:

This tour is aimed at 7-11 year olds. The visit begins with a short ten-minute presentation in the Cavern Suite on what pupils can expect to see whilst on their visit.  A booklet and pens are provided and pupils are encouraged to interact with the tour guides at the various tour stops before returning to the Cavern Suite. Groups should allow 2 hours for this visit.

D. Secondary School and College Groups:

This tour is aimed primarily at groups completing various studies although it is also of value to anyone studying the Travel Industry generally. The tour will begin with a presentation based on the Past, Present and Future of Liverpool John Lennon Airport, normally in the Cavern Suite.  There is then a tour of the airport facilities both landside and airside. A hi-viz vest will be provided and details of passport/driving licence will be required for all attendees, in order to secure an airside pass. A question and answer session can follow on our return to the Cavern Suite. The tour is likely to last around 2.5 hours.

Tour Prices: 

Tours A and C, Landside only = £7.50 per person (minimum booking of 10 persons)  

Tours B and D, Extended Tour including Airside = £10 per person (minimum booking 10 person)

The prices include VAT, parking and welcome pens.

PLEASE NOTE: Because of terminal redevelopments, visits and tours of the Airport early in 2024, may have to be altered or rescheduled. Our apologies if this affects your forward planning arrangements.
