Wack and the Airport Palm Tree by Nicky Lees

"Wack the mouse and his family live under the statue of John Lennon at Liverpool Airport. The only human being who knows about the mice is a kind manager called Julie who oftens shares her dinner with them. So, if you visit the Airport, keep your eyes open and you might just be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Wack and his friends..."

Wack the Mouse

Born in Liverpool, Nicky Lees is the Chaplain at Liverpool John Lennon Airport and now lives in Cheshire with her husband Brian. She is immensely proud of her Scouse Heritage and this is reflected by her choice of the names Wack and Scuff.

The word Wack is old Scouse or Liverpoolese for "friend" and Scuffer means, "Police Officer". These are both very apt as Scuff wants to be a Policemouse when he grows up and of course Wack is always a loyal friend.
