Shopaholics will be in their element at the new £1billion Liverpool ONE retail and leisure complex, which spans 42 acres and features 160 new shops, bars and restaurants, 14-screen Odeon Cinema, and five-acre Chavasse Park, a green oasis in the heart of the city which has re-established the link between the new-look city centre and historic Albert Dock.

Liverpool Canal Link opened in Spring 2009, and sees narrowboats pass across the Pier Head for the first time in over 100 years, offering stunning views of the Three Graces – Liver, Cunard and Port of Liverpool buildings. The new £10.5million Mersey Ferries Terminal features a cafe, river viewing area and Beatles-themed visitor centre.

Liverpool City Region boasts excellent sporting events and attractions. Watch a Premier League football match or take a stadium tour at one of the city’s two clubs, Liverpool or Everton, or there’s Super League action at St.Helens Rugby League Football Club.

The three Royal links courses – Birkdale, Liverpool and Lytham & St Annes – have hosted the Open Championship 30 times since 1897.
