Whatever style of accommodation you’re looking for there is plenty of choice to suit all budgets.

A host of new hotels and serviced apartments have opened in recent years. The destination offers everything ranging from world famous hotel brands to hostels; student accommodation; cosy guest houses or some of the chicest boutique properties to be found anywhere.

New additions include the 310-bedroom Jurys Inn and 132-bedroom Staybridge Suites, which are situated adjacent to the £164million Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool on the banks of the River Mersey – offering stunning views across the waterfront and Albert Dock.

No mention of Liverpool would be complete without The Beatles. Hard Days Night is the world’s first Beatles-themed hotel, and each of the 110 bedrooms features a specially produced piece of Beatles artwork. The hotel is in a prime location too, appropriately just minutes from Mathew Street and the world-famous Cavern Club.

The multi award-winning boutique Hope Street Hotel is a regular haunt of discerning (and sometimes famous!) travellers and has captured headlines around the world. A major new extension of the hotel is due to open later this year.

New hotels will also open as part of the £1bn Liverpool ONE retail and leisure development – Hilton and Novotel will come to the city for the first time, joining established major brands including Radisson SAS, Malmaison, Crowne Plaza, Marriott and Holiday Inn.

Two new hotels have also opened at Southport, the classic resort north of Liverpool.  The 133-bedroom Ramada Plaza on The Promenade has part of the £40million investment programme at Southport Theatre and Convention Centre, which also features restaurants, bars and a casino. The town has also welcomed its very first boutique hotel, The Vincent, featuring a sushi bar, members’ bar and penthouse complete with roof-top hot-tub – the ultimate in luxury.

Ideally located between Southport and Liverpool on England’s Golf Coast, Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa invites is ideal for golfers who enjoy a spot of pampering too. Following an extensive £10million development, the club features a 62-bedroom hotel, two golf courses driving range, spa and leisure club. This is the UK’s only PGA residential golf academy.
