At Security

After checking in, whether online or at the airport, all passengers must pass through Security before they are permitted to enter the Departure Lounge. Here your boarding card will be inspected and you will be required to go through security screening (passengers on some flights may also be subject to Image Capturing).

It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure they have sufficient time to pass through Security and arrive at the Departure Gate at the published boarding time. Liverpool John Lennon Airport recommends that passengers arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure.

Hand Baggage

Airlines apply their own policies regarding the number of items of hand baggage and the size of hand baggage permitted through Security. For more information about hand baggage, please click here.
