Sopot

Nearby Sopot is known as a health resort, and can be easily reached from Gdansk by train or car, as well as by boat trip, and it's a popular place to visit for those who book flights to Gdansk.  

Monte Casino Street is the main street, and has many restaurants and pubs, as is comprised of 19th century buildings.  Just off this street, you'll discover many parks and gardens which are well worth a look.

Gdynia

This young port was founded in 1926 as a harbour, and has since grown to be a popular tourist destination for people who book flights to Gdansk.  Gdynia is easy to get to by car or by train, and also by boat from Gdansk itself.  Thanks to its heritage as a port, it has a good transport infrastructure, so if you've booked flights to Gdansk, you'll find it straightforward to come to Gdynia.

The coastline here is incredible, and the long promenades are ideal for walking up and down, or just people watching.  If you choose to explore a little further, you'll find marinas with lavish yachts and boats moored.

Kosciuszki Square is the centre of Gdynia, and has cafes and restaurants to dine in as well as impressive architecture.  You'll also want to visit the shopping areas on Starowiejska and Świętojańska streets.  There's definitely plenty to see and do in Gdynia.
