easyJet to operate to Fuerteventura and Lanzarote from JLA

Easyjet have announced it is to start flying passengers to two new destinations in the Canary Islands from Liverpool from November 2009.

The flights to Fuerteventura and Lanzarote are the airline’s first foray into the medium haul market from Liverpool and they will be using their larger Airbus A320 aircraft on these routes.

Flights will operate three times each week to each destination from early November, with one way fares including taxes and charges from just £29.99, bringing the total number of easyJet destinations from Liverpool to 25.

Carly Brear, easyJet’s UK commercial manager, commented, “This route comes as a direct commitment of ours to continue to enhance our destinations at Liverpool to meet customer demand. I have every faith these two routes will be extremely popular with our loyal North West customer base. I look forward to continuing to build on our strong relationship with both Fuerteventura and Lanzarote to boost tourism to these islands."

Neil Pakey Deputy CEO Peel Airports Group, added, “We are delighted easyjet are continuing to increase their choice of destinations from Liverpool."
