How to Fly Through Security

How to fly through security

To help your journey through security go as smoothly as possible:

  • Remove coats, hats, scarves, belts and heeled shoes or boots before you reach the front of the security queue.
  • Pre-prepare your liquids in 100ml containers and keep them separate from your hand luggage, in a clear resealable 20x20cm bag. Plastic bags are available to buy from vending machines at Security, 4 bags for £1.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport recommends passengers arrive a minimum of 2 hours before departure to allow sufficient time to check-in, pass through airport security and to take advantage of the many new passenger facilities now available in the departure lounge.

All passengers are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure they arrive at the Departure Gate at the published boarding time as stipulated by their airline.
