Design Our Plane with Blue Air!

We've teamed up with Blue Air to give you the chance to design the new aircraft that will be based right here in Liverpool! Plus, the lucky winner will also get a pair of tickets, flying from Liverpool, to a Blue Air destination of their choice! Blue Air currently fly to Bucharest, Bacau and Cluj in Romania, and from March 2017 will add 4 new routes to their schedules to include Rome and Milan in Italy, Hamburg in Germany and Alicante in Spain.

The Prize

The winning design will appear on the Blue Air aircraft due to based here at Liverpool from March 2017!

The winner will also receive a pair of tickets to the Blue Air destination of their choice, flying from Liverpool. Blue Air fly to Rome, Milan, Hamburg, Alicante, Bucharest, Bacau and Cluj. 

How to Enter

From March 2017, Blue Air will be basing their aircraft here at Liverpool and they're offering you the chance to design it! The top 3 designs will be chosen by Blue Air and then the public will get to vote for their favourite!

Once the competition has closed, Blue Air will select their 3 favourites and the general public will get to vote for the winner!



Terms & Conditions

The promoter is: Liverpool John Lennon Airport (the “Airport”) at Speke Road, Liverpool L24 1YD.

2.1 The title of the competition is Blue Air Livery Competition. Design an aircraft livery for Blue Air and win a pair of return flights (the “Competition”).
2.2 The Competition is entered by entrants completing a livery design template (the “Template”) for the Blue Air aircraft. The Template can be found online at www.liverpoolairport.com, and should be downloaded, completed and then emailed back to the Airport at the email address of [email protected].

3.1 The competition will run from 09:00 on 2 November 2016 (the "Opening Date") to 23:59 on 31 December 2016 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by email to [email protected] by no later than 23:59 on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3 To enter the competition:
(a) Email a completed livery design, which can be found on liverpoolairport.com to [email protected] by the Closing Date.
3.4 No purchase necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
3.5 The Promoter will not accept:
(a) Responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) Proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
3.6 By submitting a Competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3.8 The Competition entries will be judged by a panel of three judges who will select the best design. The decision of the panel of judges acting reasonably will be final.
3.9 The Promoter will send the full names of the judges to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in condition 1.1.

4.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over
4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(d) photocopies and not originals; or
(e) incomplete.
4.4 Any entries that haven’t used the template will automatically be void- as will those that haven’t stayed within the template guidelines.
4.5 There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
4.6 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
4.7 Competition entries cannot be returned.

5.1 The prize consists of:
(1) your design being used as the livery on to the new Blue Air based aircraft at the Airport; and
(2) a pair of return tickets to any Blue Air destination served from the Airport excluding any codeshare or interline agreements.
5.2 The prize is provided by Blue Air.
5.3 The flight tickets are for two people to travel by economy air travel with Blue Air to any Blue Air destination served from the Airport between 31 January 2017 and 31 October 2017 (excluding between 8 April 2017 – 23 April 2017 and 1 July 2017 – 15 September 2017. The prize does not include travel insurance, the cost of transfers to and from airports or stations, food and drink, spending money, tax or personal expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
5.4 You will be responsible for ensuring that you and any person travelling with you are available to travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents for the holiday in question on the travel dates specified. Dates once notified to the travel agent cannot be changed.
5.5 Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize.
5.6 The prize is supplied by Blue Air. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.
5.7 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
5.8 In order to claim the prize you must respond to the congratulatory email sent from Liverpool John Lennon Airport with your preferred travel destination and flight dates.

6.1 The winner of the competition will be announced on the Airport’s Facebook page at www.faceboook.com/liverpoolairport on 20 January 2016 (Announcement Date).
6.2 The decision of the judges nominated by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.3 The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the Competition entry. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the Competition entry form has been submitted.

7.1 Please allow 14 days for delivery of the prize. The prize will be sent via email in the form of a booking code or voucher to be redeemed by the recipient.
7.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7.3 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 30 of days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
7.4 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

9.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
9.2 By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
(a) assign to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
(b) waive all moral rights,
in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
9.3 You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website www.liverpoolairport.com and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes.

10.1 If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
10.2 You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.

11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
11.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
