How would you like to spend bonfire night at the top of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower?
At Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA), we have made a commitment to fund-raise over a two year period for Alder Hey Children's Charity. Each year, Alder Hey Children's Hospital cares for more than 275,000 children, young people and their families. As the busiest children's hospital in the UK and one of the biggest in Europe, Alder Hey provides remarkable and lifesaving treatments to children, not only in the Merseyside region but across many countries.
We will be auctioning 3 pairs of tickets for an ATC Fireworks Experience, to spend bonfire night (5th November 2018, visit duration approx 2 hours) at the top of the tower at LJLA. You will be able to observe the amazing views of the best firework displays across Liverpool.
How To Enter
The competition will run from 12 noon on 8th October 2018 (the "Opening Date") to 23:59 21st October 2018 (the "Closing Date") inclusive (the “Competition Times”).
All competition entries must be received by the Promoter within the Competition Times before the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
To enter the competition either:
- email your bid entry to [email protected] with the following details: full name, amount of bid, and telephone number; or
- send a direct message on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to Liverpool John Lennon Airport with the following details: full name, amount of bid, and contact details (telephone number and/or or email address.
The evening will be publicised via Liverpool Airport social media.
Please note, winning bidders will be subject to airport security measures for the duration of the visit.
Terms & Conditions
1. THE PROMOTER
The promoter is: Liverpool Airport Limited of Peel Dome, intu Trafford Centre, Trafford City, Manchester M17 8PL (the "Promoter").
- THE COMPETITION
2.1 The title of the competition is ATC Fireworks Experience (the “Competition”).
2.2 Entrants will submit a bid by email for a chance to win a pair of tickets, and the highest three (3) bids will be selected as winners.
.Winning bids will be donated to the Alder Hey Children's Charity (Charity Number: 116066).
- HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The competition will run from 12 noon on 8th October 2018 (the "Opening Date") to 23:59 21st October 2018 (the "Closing Date") inclusive (the “Competition Times”).
3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter within the Competition Times before the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3 To enter the competition either:
(a) email your bid entry to [email protected] with the following details: full name, amount of bid, and telephone number; or
(b) send a direct message on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to Liverpool John Lennon Airport with the following details: full name, amount of bid, and contact details (telephone number and/or or email address.
3.4 No purchase necessary.
3.5 The Promoter will not accept:
(a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
3.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3.7 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of three judges based on the highest bid. The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.
3.8 The Promoter will send the full names of the judges to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, HR Department, Admin Building, Liverpool L24 1YD (the “Promoter’s Office”) and addressed as ATC Fireworks Experience competition ".
4.1 The competition is open to UK residents over the age of 18 only.
4.3 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.4 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk; or
4.5 There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
4.6 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
- THE PRIZE
5.1 The prize is access to the Air Traffic Control Tower at Liverpool John Lennon Airport on Bonfire Night (the evening of the 5th November 2018) to be able to view fireworks from across the city from a unique vantage point.
- WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
6.1 The winners of the competition will be announced on the Promoter’s website and on the Liverpool John Lennon Airport Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages on 22nd October 2018 (Announcement Date),
6.2 The decision of the judges nominated by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.3 The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the email address provided with the competition entry.
6.4 A list of winners can be viewed at the Promoter’s Office (as set out in clause 3.8) from the Announcement Date for a period of 5 days.
- CLAIMING THE PRIZE
7.1 If you are a winner of the prize, you will have 7 days from the Announcement Date to claim your prize by responding to the Promoter's email and transferring the bid amount to the Promoter. Full instructions shall be included in the Promoter's email. If you do not claim the prize within this time, your claim will become invalid and you will not be required to transfer the bid amount to the Promoter.
7.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7.3 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received before the Closing Date.
7.4 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, subsidiaries or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents, subsidiaries or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
9.1 If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes. 9.2 You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.
9.3 By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.5 The Promoter is unable to advise entrants if they have not been successful.
10.6 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
