The final phase of the latest development works aimed at further improving the customer experience for departing passengers at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) has now been completed.
Liverpool TV Producer and culture representative Phil Redmond today (22nd October 2009) officially opened Peel Leisure’s Hampton by Hilton Hotel at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Phil Redmond, famous for his soap operas Brookside and Hollyoaks, officially opened the hotel with a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony.
Phil Redmond said, "I am delighted to have been asked to perform the opening as not only is it a reminder of Peel’s continuing confidence and investment in the airport and Liverpool itself, but because it is also a symbol of how Liverpool grew and can grow again. Through people, their ideas, their visions and the entrepreneurial drive to deliver. "
Peter de la Perrelle, Director of Peel Leisure said, "We are delighted that Phil Redmond has officially opened our Hampton by Hilton Hotel at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The hotel offers competitive rates and an excellent offering as well as a first class location directly opposite the terminal. It is the ideal place to stay for both business and leisure travellers"
Phil Cordell, Global Head, Focused Service & Hampton Brand said, "The Hampton by Hilton product has received a very positive response internationally and we are very excited to be working with The Peel Group to gain further momentum and growth for the brand in Europe. The continued success of the Hampton brand will I’m sure filter through the UK and for Hampton by Hilton to become the number one hotel choice in the future in its segment, delivering value for both business and leisure travellers."
Mark Whitworth, Peel Airports Group Chief Executive said, "This milestone for JLA adds another important element to the mix of infrastructure associated with a successful regional Airport. This hotel is a superb facility and will be so convenient for passengers looking for somewhere to stay either ahead of the early morning departures or if arriving late at night.
"For those interested in watching the aircraft use the Airport too, there are even ‘rooms with a view’ on the upper floors, giving some of the best views of the Airport and the surrounding area"
The new Hampton by Hilton Hotel at the airport is the first Hilton branded hotel in the city; the second will be the new Hilton Hotel at Liverpool One, scheduled to open later this year.
The Hampton by Hilton offers a level of service and comfort that is unparalleled in the economy hotels market sector. The hotel has 160 air conditioned guest rooms with facilities including complimentary high-speed internet access and pay movies.
All room rates include a complimentary On the HouseTM hot buffet breakfast and guests have free use of the hotel’s gym.
The hotel is equipped to host small meetings for up to 30 delegates in its three naturally-lit meeting rooms and there is ample on-site parking through use of the new multi storey car park upon which the hotel is sited.
