Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is today beginning a 12 week consultation as part of the modernisation of the UK’s airspace, which will involve potential changes to the routes taken by aircraft departing from and arriving at the Airport.
Following numerous requests and passenger feedback we have recently opened an outdoor smoking area in the departure lounge which is accessed from the lower level, past the Kissing Gate Bar & Restaurant and is clearly signposted.
This smoking area which offers secure entry and exit also affords protection from inclement weather, provides wall mounted ashtrays and a wall mounted heater, however, there is no seating. Any persons with restricted mobility will also be able to access this smoking area from Gate 44.
Please note after careful consideration, Liverpool John Lennon does not to allow passengers to use electronic cigarettes within the terminal building. Users must also use the dedicated smoking areas.
