Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe have announced that they are to commence flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) to the Southern Romanian city of Craiova from the end of March 2017.

This is the airline’s second new route to be announced this Autumn following the news that they will commence flights to Lublin in Poland in May next year and will be Wizz Air’s seventh destination from Liverpool, complementing the airline’s existing flights to Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Riga, Budapest and Lublin.

The three times weekly service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays commencing on 27th March 2017 and will be the only service outside of London to Craiova, taking the number of weekly departures by Wizz Air from Liverpool up to 20 from next Summer.

Craiova is an ideal short break destination with a strong focus on culture, filled with art, history and museums.

Flights are now on sale with fares from £24.99 one way and can be booked on www.wizzair.com
