Car Parking Terms and Conditions
1.1 Liverpool Airport Limited (company number 02116704) is the operator of Liverpool John Lennon Airport (“Airport”).
1.2 The booking of a car parking space, via our website https://bookings.liverpoolairport.com/en/ or third party websites, and entry to or use of any of our car parks, is subject to these terms and conditions (“Terms”), and any Airport byelaws in use from time to time.
1.3 In these Terms, “you” and “your” refers to the person who made the booking, and “we”, “our” and “us” refers to Liverpool Airport Limited. The contract for car parking at the Airport is between you and us.
1.4 We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time. Once you have made a booking the Terms that will apply are those that were on our website, or a third party website, at the time of booking.
1.5 In addition to these Terms, our parking enforcement operator, VCS Control Services Limited, also have terms and conditions, which apply once you have entered a car park at the Airport. They relate to our requirements for the parking of vehicles in our car parks, and how such requirements are enforced if not met. Their terms and conditions are located at the entrance of our car parks, and within each car park itself. If you are not prepared to comply with their terms and conditions then please do not enter the car park.
- 2. Bookings
2.1 Bookings can be made by persons aged 18 years or over.
2.2 You are entering into a contract with us for car parking at the Airport for the period confirmed in the online booking process, comprising a series of calendar days, or part thereof, set out in your booking confirmation. Persons who enter into a contract with us for the parking of a vehicle at any of our car parks, whether by purchasing a ticket or otherwise, do so on behalf of themselves and all other persons having any proprietary possessory or other financial or material interest in the vehicle and its contents.
2.3 The date of the contract is the date of confirmation of the booking as stated on the booking confirmation page, and contained in the booking confirmation email we send to you. Your booking is only valid for the car park at the Airport you have booked. Any additional charges incurred by you as a result of the use by you of a different car park will not be refunded.
2.4 Bookings must be made no later than 1 hour before arrival. All car park bookings are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to withdraw availability, at our entire discretion, for a given car park on a given date.
2.5 The price you pay for the duration of your stay is the price accepted and confirmed by you during the online booking process. All prices are in pounds sterling and include value added tax and all other applicable taxes. The booking is valid for a single car park entry and exit during the dates you have booked.
2.6 Our car parks are priced per calendar day. If you stay for more than 4 hours beyond the exit time specified during the booking process, regardless of the reason for such overstay, you will be charged an overstay fee, which are as follows:

The overstay fee must be paid in full before you leave the car park by either cash or card at a pay on foot machine, which are located in the Multi Storey car park and the Airport terminal building. The cards accepted are detailed in clause 3.1.
2.7 You must not resell or transfer any booking (in whole or in part).
3.1 Payment must be made in advance and online. Payment may be made using one of the following payment cards; Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Maestro, and American Express. We reserve the right not to fulfil your booking if your card is declined for any reason, has been used fraudulently or without the cardholder's permission, or if you are under the age of 18. It will be necessary for your personal data to be disclosed to the relevant card issuer for the purpose of processing and confirming your payment. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties other than the financial institution for the chosen payment method.
3.2 When you have completed your booking we will send you an email confirmation of your booking to the email address entered by you. You are responsible for supplying a valid email address. We cannot be held responsible for non-delivery due to an incorrect email address or transmission failure.
- Cancellation and Amendments of Bookings
4.1 Subject to clause 4.3 below, you can cancel the contract between us no later than 24 hours prior to the car park arrival time by visiting https://bookings.liverpoolairport.com/en/ or the relevant third party website and following the online instructions. You will receive email confirmation of the cancellation. No cancellations or refunds are permitted after this time. Cancellations will incur an administration fee of £5.00, which will be deducted from the refunded amount.
4.2 Subject to clause 4.3 below, you can amend bookings no later than 24 hours prior to the car park arrival time by visiting bookings.liverpoolairport.com/en/ or the relevant third party website. No amendments are permitted after this time.
4.3 Certain promotional products cannot be amended, cancelled or refunded. If a booking cannot be amended or cancelled, or is non-refundable, this will be specified on the booking page of our website and third party websites.
4.4 No refund will be given for any days booked and not used, or if you do not use your booking, unless you have amended or cancelled your booking in accordance with this clause 4.
- Our Liability
5.1 We cannot guarantee the security or protection of your vehicle or its contents. Entry to and use of any of our car parks is entirely at your own risk. Accordingly, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, you use any of the Airport’s car parks on condition that we, our staff, servants or agents will not be liable for any loss of or damage to any vehicle or its contents, or any property whatsoever belonging to you.
5.2 CCTV cameras are installed in our car parks. However we do not make any representations regarding the extent of coverage provided by such cameras, and no guarantee is given as to the security or protection of your vehicle in our car parks where CCTV is installed.
5.3 We shall not be liable for any failure by us to perform our obligations under the contract due to an event beyond our reasonable control, including, without limit, drone sightings or activity, closure of the Airport, cancellation or changes of schedules by airlines, war or threat of war, terrorist threats or activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, explosion, adverse weather conditions or government regulations. Should any such event occur, we are not obliged to refund you, or make any change to your booking.
6.1 We reserve the right to refuse admittance to our car parks.
6.2 Entry to and egress from our car parks should be obtained only through the designated entrances and exits and along designated routes, and in accordance with the instructions provided to you in your booking confirmation email.
6.3 You must only park your vehicle within designated bays, authorised areas, and so as not to cause obstruction. Failure to park within a designated bay may result in a parking charge notice being issued by our parking enforcement operator.
6.4 Bays reserved for disabled drivers should be used by disabled drivers only, and vehicles parked in such bays must display appropriate disabled badges/windscreen stickers.
6.5 A height restriction of 2.15m applies to the Multi Storey car park. Where there is a height restrictor or signage at or prior to the entrance to our car parks, including pick up and drop off facilities, the relevant car park or facilities are for use by vehicles meeting the stated height or other requirements only.
6.6 No vehicle shall be towed into, and no work on, or cleaning of, vehicles is permitted in, any of our car parks.
6.7 No activity in connection with the selling, hiring or other disposal of vehicles shall be carried out in any of our car parks.
- Reporting Loss or Damage
7.1 Should your vehicle suffer damage whilst in one of our car parks, or should you lose the vehicle or any of your possessions from the vehicle whilst it is in one of our car parks, you are requested:
7.1.1 to immediately inform a member of our staff at the Car Park Office;
7.1.2 in case of theft, immediately inform the Police; and
7.1.3 to notify your insurers promptly.
7.2 If you or your passenger(s) damage another customer’s vehicle, our property, or cause injury to any person, you must immediately report the matter to a member of staff at the Car Park Office. If the damage is to another vehicle, you must provide the registration number of both vehicles, and notify the owner of the other vehicle by leaving a note on their windscreen which includes your contact details. If the damage is to our property, you must pay us, and we will seek to recover, the cost of repair, and associated administrative costs. You are responsible for any damage or injury you cause whilst driving or parking your vehicle. We will use all information available to us, including but not limited to automatic number plate recognition data, CCTV and booking records, to investigate incidents. If requested, we will supply our records and information to the police or insurance companies.
- Securing Your Vehicle
8.1 You must ensure that before you leave your vehicle in one of our car parks:
8.1.1 your vehicle is fully and securely locked;
8.1.2 that all windows and the sunroof of your vehicle are securely closed;
8.1.3 if your vehicle is fitted with a steering lock or similar device that it is engaged.
8.2 Wherever possible please take your possessions with you when you leave your vehicle. If you have to leave possessions in your vehicle, do not leave them where they are visible and ensure that they are as secure as possible.
- Safety in the Car Park
9.1 You must drive and park carefully, and with due care and attention at all times, when in our car parks. You should always be aware of other vehicles in motion. You must obey the directional signs. Vehicles must not be driven at a speed in excess of 10 miles per hour.
9.2 After you have parked your vehicle please proceed to the nearest exit, which are signposted. You must keep a careful eye on any children with you and ensure that they are accompanied at all times.
9.3 Caravans, motor homes, heavy goods vehicles and any other large vehicles are not permitted to park in our car parks.
9.4 You must ensure that animals are kept secured when outside your vehicle, for example on a lead.
10.1 Tickets are allocated to the vehicle you entered one of our car parks with, and therefore you can only exit a car park with the ticket allocated to that vehicle. A ticket, including a season ticket, does not entitle you, unless otherwise specified, to any space in our car parks or to priority over other customers. A season ticket is our property, and it must be surrendered to us upon expiration or misuse.
10.2 We reserve the right to refuse to release any vehicle, except on production of the ticket, until we have made such enquiries as we consider reasonable. Failure to produce your ticket will therefore delay your departure from our car park. If you cannot produce your ticket on departure, you will be charged according to the current Airport tariffs details of which can be obtained from the Car Park Office.
10.3 In the interests of security tickets should not be left inside vehicles.
- Moving and Relocating of Vehicles
11.1 We reserve the right, where it is lawful to do so:
11.1.1 to move any vehicle within any of our car parks, by driving or otherwise, to such extent as we, our staff, servants or agents, may in the exercise of our reasonable discretion think necessary to avoid obstruction, or for the more efficient arrangement of our parking facilities, and we will not be liable for any damage caused to any such vehicle or property other than that which is caused directly by our negligence.
11.1.2 where any of our car parks have to be closed, either permanently or temporarily, in whole or in part, or have to be evacuated in cases of emergency, to remove any vehicle at any time to any other reasonably convenient car park within our control, and we will not be liable for any damage caused to any such vehicle or property other than that which is caused directly by our negligence.
11.1.3 for us, our staff, agents or the relevant Police Authority to move or remove any vehicle to safeguard any person or property against injury or damage, or in the event of an actual or perceived threat to security, and to remove vehicles which are, or appear to be, stolen or abandoned.
12.1 Your vehicle in one of our car parks may be subject to a lien for all charges due or accruing from you to us, and a general lien for all and any monies due from you to us, such lien to be in existence whenever the vehicle is in any of our car parks notwithstanding that it may from time to time have been removed for such car park.
12.2 If the said lien is not satisfied by the payment, on expiry of 30 days written notice of our intention to sell the vehicle in default of payment, we may sell the vehicle by auction or otherwise, and the proceeds of sale shall be applied in and towards satisfaction of all sums owing to us by you, together with the expense of the sale, and in connection with such sale we shall be entitled to charge reasonable garage charges in respect of the period during which the vehicle is in our possession. Notice of intention aforesaid shall be deemed to have been properly and sufficiently given by the sending of written notice by prepaid post, addressed to the registered owner at his last known address, whether or not the same is actually received.
12.3 Any balance of the purchase price of the vehicle remaining after satisfaction of such sums shall be held by us on behalf of the registered owner of the vehicle.
13.1 You agree to indemnify us in respect of any:
13.1.1 claim by a third party arising out of the use of any of our car parks by you, your passenger(s), staff, servants or agents, other than claims that are directly caused by our negligence;
13.1.2 damage to our property or equipment, or loss suffered by us due to such damage occurring, arising out of the use of any of our car parks by you, your passenger(s), staff, servants or agents, other than claims that are directly caused by our negligence.
Other than as set out elsewhere in these Terms, no variation of the contract will be effective unless it is in writing and signed by both parties.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The contract made between us, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with the contract or its subject matter or formation.
Best Price Guarantee (“Guarantee”)
- If you find a price difference for any car parking product at the Airport on a third party website compared to the price for the same product on our website, we shall refund you the difference.
- In order to qualify for a refund of the difference, the claim must satisfy the following terms and conditions.
- Prices can vary depending on the time of year, location of the relevant car park in relation to the Airport terminal building, and how far you book in advance. You must contact us promptly by email at [email protected], and in any event within 24 hours of purchasing your parking through https://bookings.liverpoolairport.com/en/ or a third party website. Your email must include the following information:
- your full name;
- your booking confirmation email (please ensure this includes your booking reference and parking dates and times);
- the website where the lower rate is available;
- the date and time where the lower rate is available;
- a screenshot of the price, product and entry and exit times and dates. From the other website.
- We must be able to verify the lower online published price at the time of the claim and confirm that the lower price does not exist on https://bookings.liverpoolairport.com/en/.
- The Guarantee only applies in respect of a lower rate that is available for online booking. The lower online rate must be bookable when we validate your claim.
- The Guarantee is only valid for lower rates found online for the same product as booked through https://bookings.liverpoolairport.com/en/ using the exact same entry and exit times and dates.
- Cancellation of your booking cancels your right to claim under the Guarantee.
- The guarantee does not apply to products purchased through, or in combination with, membership rates, loyalty programs, loyalty points or other reward type programs, corporate rates, cash back or voucher sites, or special promotions where the booking is made.
- The Guarantee only applies to the price of the actual parking. Booking fees, credit card charges, administration charges, and other similar charges cannot be included in any comparison and do not form part of the Guarantee.
- Comparison prices must be listed and quoted in pounds sterling.
- The Guarantee does not apply, and cannot be compared, to products that are already discounted, or products that are currently being promoted as a ‘special offer’.
- Regardless of whether your claim is successful or not, our Car Parking Terms and Conditions are still applicable.
- We reserve the right to terminate the Guarantee offer at any time without notice.
