Public transport to and from Liverpool John Lennon Airport continues to be affected by the measures in place to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Information on this page relates to coach services currently in operation, however bus, coach and rail operations are subject to change at short notice.
Passengers are advised to carefully consider how to travel to the Airport and to check directly with bus, coach and rail operators for the latest service information. The wearing of face coverings is now compulsory on all public transport and passengers are asked to pay by contactless if they can.

National Express operate a number of services to and from Liverpool making travel by coach to Liverpool John Lennon Airport easy. Through tickets are available for use on Arriva bus services to and from the Airport via the Liverpool One bus Station giving easy access to the 500 Airport Express bus service as well as the 80A, 82A and 86A bus services that also go to the Airport.

There is a charge of £5 for a coach to pick passengers up. The designated coach pick up point is on the terminal front, this can be reached by taking a left hand turn approximately 200 yards before the main airport roundabout following signs for ‘Coaches and Buses’, carry on along this road until you reach the first right hand turning, again signposted ‘Coaches and Buses’ and ‘RVP’. Take this turn and then take the first right which will lead to a barrier, there are two intercoms on the column the driver will need to press the top intercom to speak to Airport Control who will raise the barrier and provide further direction from there. A security guard will meet the driver to take payment.
