The promoter is Liverpool Airport Limited of Peel Dome, intu Trafford Centre, Trafford City, Manchester M17 8PL ("Promoter").

  1. Competition and prize

2.1     The title of the competition is ATC Fireworks Experience.

2.2     The prize is a pair of tickets to access the Air Traffic Control Tower at Liverpool John Lennon Airport on the evening of Sunday 3 November 2019 to view fireworks from across the city from a unique vantage point. 

2.3     Entrants must submit a bid for the prize (in pound sterling) in accordance with clause 3 of these terms and conditions.  The three (3) highest bids will be selected as winners.  Winning bids will be donated to the Alder Hey Children's Charity (Charity Number: 116066).

  1. How to enter

3.1     The competition will run from 3pm on Monday 21st October 2019 to 23:59 on Wednesday 30 October 2019 ("Closing Date").

3.2     All competition entries must be received by the Promoter before the Closing Date.  All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.

3.3     To enter the competition either:

3.3.1  email your bid entry to [email protected] with the following details: full name, amount of bid, and telephone number; or

3.3.2  send a direct message on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to Liverpool John Lennon Airport with the following details: full name, amount of bid, and contact details (telephone number and/or or email address).

3.4     No purchase necessary.

3.5     The Promoter will not accept:

3.5.1  responsibility for competition entries that are lost or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or

3.5.2  proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.

3.6     By submitting a competition entry you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3.7     The three highest bids will be confirmed by the Finance Director of the Promoter on Thursday 31st October 2019 (“Winner Confirmation Date”).  The decision of the Finance Director (acting reasonably) will be final.  

  1. Eligibility

4.1     The competition is open to UK residents over the age of 18 only.

4.2     In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize.  The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

4.3     The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:

4.3.1  automatically generated by computer;

4.3.2  completed by third parties or in bulk; or

4.3.3  incomplete.

4.4     There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

4.5     The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

  1. Winner announcement

5.1     The Promoter will contact the winners personally as soon as practicable after the Winner Confirmation Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. 

5.2     The name, image and town or county of residence of the winners of the competition will be announced on the Promoter’s website and on the Liverpool John Lennon Airport Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages on Thursday 31st October 2019 (“Announcement Date”).

5.3     If you object to your personal details being published or made available, please contact the Promoter Aoibheann McCormack [email protected] .

  1. Claiming the prize

6.1     If you are a winner of the prize, you will have 2 days from the Announcement Date to claim your prize by responding to the Promoter's telephone call or email and transferring the bid amount to the Promoter.  Full instructions shall be included in the Promoter's telephone call or email.  If you do not claim the prize within this time, your claim will become invalid and you will not be required to transfer the bid amount to the Promoter.

6.2     The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

6.3     The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners.  If a winner cannot be contacted, is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 2 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next highest bid.

6.4     The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

  1. Limitation of liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents and subsidiaries will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or subsidiaries, or that of their employees.  Your statutory rights are not affected.

  1. Data protection and publicity

8.1     The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in its Privacy Policy https://www.liverpoolairport.com/privacy-policy and these terms and conditions.  

8.2     You agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter. 

  1. General

9.1     If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

9.2     The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

9.3     This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.  All entries will be subject to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram’s terms of use as appropriate.

9.4     The Promoter is unable to advise entrants if they have not been successful.

9.5     These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
